Keeping the home fires burning

I write to you today from a position that I’ve never been in. I am a SAHW (Stay at home wife) for an undetermined amount of time. It could be a few days or possibly indefinitely while I start my own all natural textile business. A few days ago I quit my full time job, for family purposes. Although it was not originally my intention to stay home, initially, it has been on my mind since giving my notice. I struggle personally with finances and what is “right” and what is “best” for myself and my family. And yet while I struggle with the hows and whys I will choose to use this as a challenge to better myself and my family. I see this as another color in the tapestry of my life and until I am led elsewhere my home will be my front line. I will put my efforts forward to bless my husband and those who darken our doorways. So now that my oatmeal is finished, and my blog typed, I will set about to making lists and planning my “housewife” day. Somehow I doubt I will ever watch soaps and eat bon bons (I’m not even sure what a bon bon is) but I will be happy and productive. So here is a Thank You for the SAHW & SAHM out there, do what you do and don’t forget a little lipstick never hurt a soul!!

About sissysspinnings

Twenty-something lady addicted to all things fiber... Natural fiber mostly. Knitting. Spinning. Weaving. Raising fiber animals. Any and all writing, reading etc. Homesteading. Hobby Farming. Ranching. Animals. Self-sustaining. Eco-friendly. Recycling. I am down to earth and try my best not to be an eco-snob. I am the type of girl who thinks you should be able to drive a jacked up pick up truck and still be earth friendly. (Perhaps not while driving your truck, but still)
